Kids
St. George’s Church is running hybrid services, but Sunday School is only in-person.
If you are interested in volunteering, please contact the office or Rev. Han.
Sunday mornings during the 10:00 am service, excluding summer and Christmas break
Children are an integral part of the life and community at St. George’s. Children are always welcome to participate in the services. Christ welcomed children who wiggle and giggle and so do we.
Children are led to the lower hall and engage in a meaningful journey through the Old and New Testament in a relaxed and welcoming environment. They learn that God loves them, cares for them and guides them throughout their lives.
Our program is aimed at children ages 3 to 12, though older children are always welcome to help. We are happy to welcome new or visiting students at any time of the year and children are always welcome to bring a friend. Parents may also join the group for part or all of the session if it helps their children to be more comfortable.
A large focus of our ministry is on giving. In the past, our Lenten project raised funds:
in collaboration with PWRDF for the people of Chimanimani through an agricultural program to improve food security and become more resilient to climate change by providing grain seeds in Zimbabwe.
Other years we have donated our Lenten offerings to organizations such as
Suitcases for Africa banana plantation funding and many other projects
Christian Blind Mission
Houses for Haiti
Mile End after school project
Old Brewery Mission
St. Michael’s Mission
Leucan
